Stratum:   Fill cut into by castellum drain to South and B 19 to east. Soil is medium light reddish brown sandy clay with 40% pebbles, 30% cobbles, compact.
Notes:   B 20 is the excavation of the lip of soil running along the north edge of the Roman drain. B 20 is likely the same fill as B 17 and B 19 but is more compacted being exposed directly on the scarp of the cut for the castellum drain. See top plan pg. 37.
