| Stratum: | Surface of floor. Soil is greenish brown sandy clay with 15% pebbles,, 20% cobbles, compact. | |
| Notes: | B 27 is the removal of the floor layer under b 24. We sieve 100% of the layer. It is a bit greenish, perhaps from organic material. This surface runs east to the robbing trench (?) of B 26, and west perhaps under the foundation of W 289 and north to W 215 wich seems to cut it, and then it is cut to the south by the construction of the castellum drain. Found obsidian blade, iron, iron slag, and bronze. See top plan pg. 49. | |
