Stratum:   Possible pit into pebbly area under B 22. Soil is medium greyish brown 50% pebbles, 40% cobbles, loose.
Notes:   B 29 is what may be the easter section of the hole found at the end of B 28 as it extends into the scarp of pebbly soil east of B 28 and under B 22. The edge of this basket is round and defined by the inclusion of larger stones. The soil further into this layer appears more sandy than that at the beginning. What pottery we did find came from its upper level.
The soil changes to have more clay, and we change baskets.
Also, scraping in the area of B 28, we have now outlined a square of darker soil. I am not convinced that this is a cut per se, but we will return and explore this area next.
The center of this pit is: 413.89 E/ 966.53 N
See top plan pg. 51
