Stratum: | Round hole (bothros?) fill N of W 265. Soil is medium reddish brown sandy clay with 30% pebbles, under 5% cobbles, loose. | |
Notes: | B 30 is another pass at the circular bothros cut of B 29 in the identical location. The soil is a lot more clay like. A few pieces of Geometric pottery as well as some large rocks have come up out of this hole. We are sieving 100%. There is also ash and charcoal a few cm down. We find a nice in situ piece of Archaic pottery and stop to photograph, and also take this opportunity to change baskets. Center of pit is: 413.89 E/ 966.53 N. See top plan pg. 55. | |
