Stratum:   Fill north of cut of castellum drain. Soil is medium reddish brown sandy clay with 50% pebbles, 5% cobbles, compact.
Notes:   B 32 is a pass north of the castellum drain, east of W 289, and south of W 215. It is represented by a redder area surrounded by browner soil. We hope that we have a clear cut here. Very little pottery is coming out of this layer. B 32 looks very colluvial. If it was redeposited, it is worth digging, but it is difficult to tell. Thanassis says the soil is soft and we have found a cut, but there always is the chance, what with 3 or 4 well worn handmade sherds, that we are digging the banks of river neolithc.
The soil is as it was in B 28: pockets of bright red soil are mixed wwell with pockets of darker brown. No further lines are distinguished and the soil seems mixed up.
This is a large basket. Part of the middle of the basket at some depth becomes very pebbly with consistently sized, small grain pebbles. See top plan pg. 55.
