| Notes: | Pass to remove fill south of the pit west of the diamond tile pool and north of the narrow strip of fill removed as basket 42. This basket revealed a fair amount of pottery as well as a single coin, though no other small finds. While excavating this fill we also noticed a fair amount of tile, included painted classical tiles. While removing this fill we left a small martyr around the stone channel. We closed this basket when we came across an array of tiles (ca. 17+) arranged flat in a narrow strip bounded by a ca. 0.44 m area of colluvium on the north to the baulk and terminating on its southern edge on the approximate line of the northern extent of basket 42.
