Description:   The soil color is dark brownish black. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   -158 lightler than 156; fewer inclusions and firmer than 156.
-Excavation of topmost exposed level inside Room 12.
-Room had previously been excavated down to level of tile fall in SE corner of room, next to walls 142/threshold into courtyard and 153/E. threshold.
-Topmost level amlost ot floor level; only small amount excavated and between tiles in SE corner of room; no tiles from tile fall removed.
-Possible small grave revealed in NE corner of room; this is a small oval area ringed by tiles.
-Other than large debris pile in SE corner of trench and smaller debris area in NW sector and possible grave (which seems to be cut into a floor surface) rest of exposed earth seems harder and more compact, and is likely floor surface (tiles/debris laying on this surface).
Context Pottery:   Fineware. slipped plain glazed (1100-1300), pitcher. 1 handle. ; Fineware. glaze painted III, slipped (1160-1200)1 bodysherd.
