Title:   Room 3 - Western Wall
Category:   Structure
Notebook:   1111
Context:   35
Date:   2016/06/02
Description:   Structure materials: limestone; tile. Material size: limestone: avarage 15-20cm. Material finish: mixed: mostly unworked, some roughly hewn. Material bonding: mud.
Notes:   -35 continuation of wall 20 (bottom by robbed-out section in wall). Adjacent to walls 42 and 6 but no physical relationship because walls 35, 42, and 6 because it does not touvh these walls; seems to be later, as only one course is preserved at higher level.
-W. Wall of Room 3 is a continuation of wall with 20 N-S orientation.
-Seems to be later than walls 6 and 42 because it is much shallower than walls 42 and 6 (only one course preserved however). Uncertain what relationship with 34 to the S. is, but 34 is laid on top of 42. Single course pedestaled in earth.
-Wall 42 to the S. of wall 35 seems to be same construction technique, as does wall 20 to the N. This is different from walls 6 to the NE and 34 to the SE. Wall 34 is constructed on top/is later than wall 42 and may be later than wall 35, but it is unclear.
-Wall 35 may go with surface exposed in contexts 37 and 39 because seems to be lying on top of surface. Other walls surrounding the room seem to be laid on top of earlier surface. This demonstrates that there are at least two phases of use in Room 3. Part of surface going with wall 35 left in place in NE corner of Room 3; rest excavated in contexts 41 and 43.
-Unclear where threshold/entrance to Room 3 is located along wall; possibly in damaged N. section of wall, but this is only a small gap.
