Description:   The soil color is dark reddish black. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is well sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   -70 more consolidated and more well-sorted than 63
-Mixed: red and black
-70 is overlaid by context 63, which is laid over floor surface in N. half of room; in S. half, however, removal of 63 revealed another deposit slightly elevated above the floor level. This is harder and more consolidated than 63, and more well-sorted, with fewer larger stone and tile inclusions. This may be either a later or repaired floor level or a deposit above the floor surface
-Excavation commenced on N. end of context, at scarp left after excavation of context 63. Escavation moved south towards walls 51 and 54
-As excavation continued southwards, a significantly greater amount of large pebble inclusions were encountered within the matrix of the soil
-Excavation of context 70 S. of feature 64, within possible bin, revealed several large fragments of a jar (poss. originally in-situ)
-Iron nail recovered in S. end of context, near threshold of walls 51 and 54
-More fragments of pietra ollare recovered in context, near location where previously recovered
-Excavatino of 70 revealed large amount of rubble (medium and large pebbles, mostly) in S. half of room; this is possibly fill, but it is similar elevation as preserved floor surface in N. half of room
-Pietra ollare, glass, iron nail, and bone recovered from context
