Stratum:   inclusions: angular subrounded and rounded medium and large pebbles, a few cobbles, sherds and bones; tile frags.
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the SThe soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This fill in the NW corner of the excavation area and south of the E-W wall cuts everything around it (except the cut for the E-W wall), so we will take it out next. In the south extent of this basket Bill uncovered three worked stones in a row running east to west which may later prove to be a wall face.
This lens cuts into the clay depost immediately south of the E-W wall which 95 also cuts.
This deposit now looks to be the possible continuation of the robbing trench which is north of the E-W wall (cut=54), since the sides of B54 are roughly in line with the edges of the current basket.
Bill continued digging until the soft soil began to go under the cut. Since the cut stopped, we closed the basket.
This deposit stopped at a much higher elevation than cut 54 for the robbing trench did, and in the end, the edges did not align perfectly with those of 54. Therefore I am not confident that this basket is the same robbing trench as 54 is and further excavation is needed in this area to answer this question.
