Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. Bottom slope of the context is slight. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.

Break in slope: top = gradual on all sides and increasingly gradual on N side.
Sides = concave
Break in slope: base = not perceptible
Base = tapered and rounded, all sides slope down to center of pit base.
This cut was only recognized and the fill inside (B8) excavated after the removal of much of the plowzone deposit (B2). However, this pit must postdate the plowing activity in this field as it cuts the furrows (B22) left by the plow.
Cuts into dark yellowish brown firm sandy silt with 20% inclusions, mainly small pebbles and tile frags.
