Stratum:   hard dark yellowish brown in the beginning and later softer yellowish black . Silty sand. Inclusions 20% : few tile fragments, a lot stones especially in the beginning of the basket (sub-rounded boulders, cobbles, pebbles), pottery sherds, carbon pieces,
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. Bottom slope of the context is slight. The soil is moderately sorted. It is mixed- see description.
Notes:   After we finished examining the robbing trench south of the rubble wall remnant in B197 we decided to remove the robber's trench fill north of the wall remnant and see if the wall that runs N-S further to the north of the basket continues below the robber's trench fill.
In the first pass the soil was hard dark yellowish brown with mainly stones as inclusions. In the second pass the soil became darker and softer with carbon pieces and fewer stones. In the western part of the basket the limits of the robbing trench are clearly definable since the soil next to the basket becomes red. We decided to stop the basket when we reached harder and lighter soil below B198. We are going to dig it in a different basket.
