| Notes: | We have decided to extend the trench one meter to the south where the wall and orange soil appear in the original trench in order to have a complete picture of at least this portion of the emerging structure. The original plan to excavate three meters to the south was changed and reduced to one, but the remaining 2 by 5 meters of unexcavated terrain have been left delineated with nails and a string and will be dealt with depending upon what emerges from the 1 by 5 trench. An orange tree was cut down immidiately prior to the beginning of the excavation season in this spot, so after the removal of the topsoil here we will begin to excavate the fill of this tree pit, remove the tree stump and isolate the cut for the plastic irrigation hose that is currently sticking out of the ground here. | |
