Lot:   Lot 2008-039
Stratum:   tile, small-medium cobbles, pottery, bone, carbon, chunks of plaster 60%
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   We open to remove fill below floor 374. This fill has less cobbles than 387, and only a couple of large cobbles (we believe 387 and 389 to be lenses of related fill).
As Panos digs along wall 305, we note that the plaster facing of the wall stops below the level of floor 374. This suggest that wall 305 had multiple phases: one without plaster, before floor 374 was put int, and one when floor 374 was put in, with plaster.
3/6/2008: Panos digs around and pedestals a lense of the fill that is particularly cobble rich. We decide this lense is part of the same fill, so we excavate it all together. On the E side, the stretch of wall 332 that extends S of wall 365 is further exposed.. IT seems that, where these two walls meet, the top course of 332 lies directly on top of dirt, not more stones.
