Notes:   Digging began on this plot just north of the excavation cut 272. The goal was to bring the soil level with contexts 411 and 434. We expected the same soil deposit as 411 and 434 but excavations revealed a change in the color of the dirt with a reddish dirt giving way to the blackish color characterizing the other contexts. At this point excavation of this context was halted.
