Notes:   Under B27 and immediately to the west of the E irrigation trench (B19) there was uncovered a very small (ca. 1 m. long) patch of blackish dirt containing a few coarse pebbles and cobbles. On the morning of the 25th, Thanasis took it out. Tile frags that came up with this layer were fairly large. One boulder was visible from the surface. As he dug, Thanasis uncovered 3 more. We interpret this as a small pit dug to dump ash from a fire and other rubbish.
