Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the NThe soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are removing the fill from the N-S drain in Room E.
The fill is densely packed (60% inclusions) with stones and broken tiles. It appears to be heavy fill poured into the drain to fill it in, perhaps to make the floor in Room E level after the drain went out of use.
We are saving several of the tiles as a sample.
The fill continues down uniformly to suggest this was not a gradually accumulated fill from the period of the use of the drain..
