Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the NW. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the NWThe soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | This is the fill over the supposed "NNW pit" continuing to the W end of Room F along the N wall. With this basket we have revealed an ashy area just N of Bothros 7 and a red soil area centered in the ashy area. We are leaving martyrs (see B 5040 and B 5044) between this context and Bothros 7 because we cannot be sure what cuts what since "Bothros 7" was partially excavated in 1961. This context runs up to and is cut by Bothros 7 even though this is not apparent on the plan (due to our decision to leave martyrs). Later note: the "NNW pit" did not turn out to be a pit.
