Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the SThe soil color is dark brownish black. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This continues the cut for a possible robber trench dug in B5043 and B5044. It is directly in line with what would have been a continuation of the crosswall. A few loose rocks were removed in the middle of the area. At the W edge of the basket, two semi-worked rocks were revealed and at the N edge of the basket against the wall, a narrow line of small rocks, fist size, run against the wall parallel. A reddish soil appears below the dark we are digging. We continue to dig out the dark soil above the red. The soil is very silty and soft at the bottom of the deposit which may be due to the rain we keep getting. Two larger stones in line with the crosswall on the N side of the N wall of Rm F appeared at the bottom of the basket which seems to confirm that this is a robbing trench. We left a c. 0.15m martyr between the bottom of this basket and Bothros 7.
