| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. Bottom slope of the context is slight. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | A layer of fill in the area of the robbing trench S of Bothros 6 in the area of the S wall of Rm F, West. It may be modern accumulation since 1961 or part of the ancient robbing trench. More of the block of the continuation of the S wall of Rm F (wall 19 NB228) on the far W side has appeared. It is one very large dressed poros bock? Or cement. To the E of the newly discovered block, another dark square patch of soil has appeared. It is in line with a possible wall sticking out ot the 1961 bulk wall and the cross wall. It may be another robbing trench. A soft orangish layer which may be soft bedrock, has appeared on the S side of the basket towards the E and on the E edge. Part of the S wall of Rm F probably rested on bedrock. This wall was called wall 19 in NB228. Also the soil appears darker and softer in the area in line with the robbing/foundation trench of B5102. This may be the continuation of that deposit. | |
