Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the NThe soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   The purpose of B5114 is to expose as much of the floor from the E half of room F as possible. Part of this floor was exposed during the 1961 excavations and the rest in B5002 during a cleaning pass along the entire E half of room F. Excavation proceeded in an E to W direction. The floor was uncovered mainly to the W and S of bothros 4 (NB228). In the SW corner of the E half of room F a layer of roof tile fragments lying flat were uncovered. To the NW of them a cut was noted in the soil that overlies the floor. Even further to the N of this cut is yet another cut which appears to be semi circular and could have been dug against wall 20 (NB228). Because of these two cuts the soil that overlies the floor in this part of the room was not excavated, in order to dig the cuts first. Excavating around the pithos a cut was also detected to the N, S and E of it, which cuts through the layer that lies over the floor. This cut is directly associated with the pithos. Along the E end on the S side of wall 23 (NB228) two different cuts were detected. One runs from a distance ca. 0.50 to the E of the pithos and stops at ca. 0.90 to the W of the wall that connects wall 23 and wall 19 (NB228). The other cut is attached to the above said wall and extends at a distance of ca. 0.50 to the S of wall 23 (NB228). This cut contains ashes in its matrix which seems to be similar with the layer of ashes excavated in B5110 on the N side of wall 23.
