Notes:   This basket is checking the nature of a section in the north of Bothros 6 (NB228). It seems to be collapse of W22 (NB228), but it is unclear whether this is from Byzantine disturbance or from the 1961 excavations or the time afterward. We photographed the area and removed two fallen stones, but left the large stone (c. 0.4m) at the bottom as it was imbedded much deeper in the soil. Underneath this basket we seem to have a portion of the foundations of W22 (NB228).
