| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is dark brownish red. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | This lense along W16 was revealed by our initial cleaning (5164) but was separated from the rest of the room by the darker fill of the large eastern pit (5166). We believe it represents the same context as 5188, but we are digging them separately because they are not contiguous. Removal of the lense has revealed stones that appear to be a foundation for or earlier phase of W16. The stones may also represent a feature that was removed by the pits to the west. | |
