Stratum:		20% inclusions round and angular spherical medium to large pebbles
Description:		Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:		Context 5222 is defined as the soil between Wall 5218 and the Stones to the W at c. 1020.60N. Two stones are very close to Wall 5218. There is some soil between the stones and the wall which may be associated with the context above taken in the 1960s excavations because it is at a much higher elevation. The two stones seem to sit on the blacker soil of context 5221. The northern stone is 0.26m x 0.23m. The stone to the S is triangular with dimensions 0.23m x 0.21m. The context ended at the level of the darker soil at which the stones were resting. The soil below aso had more inclusions. Coin 2008-46 was labled in the field as being from context 5221, but we believe that it came from context 5222. We distinctly remember two sieved coins being produced by 5222, but when we arrived at the museum, we only found one. We have eliminated all other coins that could have come from 5222. 2008-46 is the only possibility. Revised Interpretations The looser soil underneath at the N could be associated with the foundation trench for Wall 5216 or a looser fill under Wall 5218. It is more likely to be looser fill under Wall 5218. Since we left a martyr at the N, contamination of this context should have been prevented.
