Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the SThe soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   After completing B42 on 26/04.07 @ 12:20pm we discussed whether to excavate the white soil deposit N. of the E/W wall first or the robber's trench. We decided to excavate the robber's trench first which is now B52 because the robber's trench cuts the white soil deposit.
At the bottom of the robber's trench (B52) Cleomenes uncovered the upper surface of a wall. It’s the same wall as continues northward out of the 1960's excavation escarpment which is the N boundary of our excavation area. He is still cleaning the wall's upper surface because, right now, we can't determine if it goes all the way to the EW wall, or stops abruptly before it, or goes underneath it. The wall surface stops before reaching the E/W wall, but if it had continued it would have run underneath the lowest course of the E/W wall.
What appears to be another wall, this one made up of large cut blocks, runs W from our robber's trench (B52). We will need to wait until the area W of B52 is excavated to determine the extent of this other wall.
