Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark pinkish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   5359 contained smaller and less inclusions than the overlying 5357. However, we only uncovered a small amount before reaching hard surface. It is unclear whether we are dealing with a pit, foundation of a wall, or uneven floor. Because we are unsure whether we are dealing with an artificial (a surface exposed and trodden on since the 1960's excavation) or actual floor in the area north of wall 58, we will make a cleaning context (5362) of the surface surrounding this context.
The surface around 5359 was created by 1960 excavation and exposed to foot traffic and weathering. This is why it is difficult to determine whether we are dealing with an actual floor or not.
