| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil is poorly sorted. It is mixed- see description. | |
| Notes: | Removing this context, a third earthen floor, we encounter blackish soft brown soil beneath the hard yellowish clay floor surface. There are occasional tile and carbon inclusions. As we proceed south along wall 5281, we encounter soil with many more tile inclusions. This deposit is distinct from that to the north along 5411. Further south still, the soil is less tile laden to its north and its soil to the south, as both its top and scarp indicate. It represents later action than the two other deposits. It will be removed next. Note: this context was slightly overdug. | |
