Description:   The context shape in plan is sub-rectangular. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is vertical sides and flat base. Truncation: Yes: possibly cut by the foundation trench for Wall 5411 on its north end..
Notes:   The foundation trench abuts but does not cut under Wall 5216 at the south and runs above the foundation trench of 5411 at the north. Dates for the fil of this cut could thereby provide relative dates for the other walls, with 5411 being perhaps earlier and 5216 being later. This trench also cuts a tile layer to the west and could thereby provide a relative date for that too.
This cut however yields complications because a firm surface is at its bottom. Whether this sufrace became compact while the wall was being built or constitues a floor extending west into the rest of the room and beneath the tile layer is unclear. By excavating this tile layer next (5472), we hope to clarify this issue.
