| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | We removed this skin baulk left earlier to avoid contamination from wall 5678. The floor that was first revealed by 5531 also appears under 5774 to the east roof tile built pithos (5504). Also, this floor revealed by 5531 and 5774 appears north of wall 5678. This floor north of wall 5678 was revealed by the removal of 5712. A noteworthy similarity between the floor north of wall 5678 and south of wall 5678 is that for the first time there is a small gap in places where the floors do not abut the wall. In the gap, the soil is soft. South of wall 5678 near the intersection of wall 5678 and 5677, the floor has been disturbed. In this disturbed patch (approximately .80 to the east of wall 5677), this soil is softer and the roof tile and flat cobbles are embedded at angles. Removal of the skin baulk to the east of pithos 5504 revealed a portion of the robbing trench fill of 5777 and the west edge of the robbing trench cut 5802. | |
