EXCAVATION NOTES:
On 30/04/07 after a thorough sweep of the whole excavation area and the closing of B48 Thanasis and Andreas began removing B57.
Since B57 lies directly to the south of and most of its northern borders lays against the EW wall we hope that by removing B57 we will be able to continue to uncover the construction/foundation trench for the EW wall which is visible in the NW section of the excavation area.
0n 2/5/07 the removal of B57 continued.
With B57 removed from next to the EW wall we have uncovered the NE section of the EW wall's construction/foundation trench.
Only 2 fragments of bone and 1 shell were found in B57 which is in sharp contrast to B48 from which 2 full boxes of bone and shell were recovered.
