Notes:   For information about this well, please see context forms 5558, 5586, 5589, 5598, 5515, and 5520, as well as 5806.
Later Notes (28/05/09 - KG, SG) - The decision was made today to dismantle part of well 5876 down to the level of a floor surface which was revealed through the removal of context 6145. Before removal of structure 5876, decided it should be taken down as two contexts. 5876 will be the topmost layer which is not as well finished on the interior and has layer of white plaster/mortar as its bottom boundary.
Soil is approximately 75% inclusion filled light yellowish brown clayey silt. The white plaster/mortar was most prominent on the north side of the well.
The lower part of the well is now labeled as structure 6493.
It is possible that 5876 represents a later phase due to the distinction of construction between it and 6493. Another possibility is that it represents a contemporary phase and marks a capping course for the well.
