Description:   Top slope of the context is level. Bottom slope of the context is level down to the The soil color is dark pinkish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Formation (cont.): which also directly borders the previously excavated area).
EXCAVATION NOTES:
Erosional slump along scarp at N edge of B5 overhanging area of previous excavations.
A ridge seems to be appearing along S edge of B5 that is harder or has more rock inclusions. This ridge does not continue all the way to E. end of excavation area, but does connect to surface below B4 to W. This may be the same surface of the plow furrows (B33) emerging under B2 over the rest of the excavation area to the S.
To north of ridge and S of E-W wall is context that may be same as B5 but is, for now, being treated as a different basket (B14) because the inclusions are different--the soil is much the same but the tile inclusions cease and there are more stones. This new basket has a heavier concentration of stone inclusions next to the E-W wall.
Concrete fence post foundations cut B5.
A worked marble fragment found. Two horizontal lines above a third line curving down away from lines above; lines are approximately evenly spaced.
