Description:   The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   We are excavating a lense of soil revealed by the removal of threshold 5919 and walls 10076 and 10077. after removing two deposits that seemed to tbe fill for those structures (6040 and 6051) we have come to a packed earth floor from a preexisting structure, cut to the S by robbing trench 6048 to the E by pier cut 6065 and to the W by pier cut 6065. removal of floor 6062 revealed another packed earth floor (6063). A root system protruding through the S end of the floor accounts for several fissures which at first seem to be context boundaries, but are really the same floor having been disrupted by the roots. Removal of floor 6063 revealed yet another floor (6080).
