| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy clay. | |
| Notes: | 6205, a trapezoidally-shaped context, was opened in the area below the clayey fill of context 6101. When 6101 was removed, a tile- and cobble-filled deposit was encountered. 6205 was opened to explore the relationship of the large cobbles and tile pieces with the areas around and below it, and to determine whether it is a dumped fill on top of a surface. After removing the large cobbles and some of the non-flat-lying tiles, we closed 6205 when we encountered what appears to be the continuation of a pebbly floor that already existed in parts to the north and south of 6205. The floor surface below the cobbles and jumbled tiles also contains bits of pottery and bone. The flatter-lying tiles will be removed as a separate context. | |
