Description:   The context shape in plan is irregular. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat. Truncation: Truncated by pit 6583 (cut 6655), pit 5943 (cut 6326), the corner of the Ottoman house, and wall 5724..
Notes:   Context 6720 is a cut for a robbing trench located along the central part of the room west of the courtyard of the Byzantine house. It has an E-W orientation and is the robbing trench for the northern curb of an E-W Roman roadl. The foundation for this curbl is visible in the northern scarp of pit 5943. Cut 6720 is truncated by several features including pit 6583 (cut 6655), pit 5943 (cut 6326), the corner of the Ottoman house, and wall 5724.
Cut 6720 is irregular in shape. The eastern portion is clearly rectangular, but the western portion is less clear. In the northwest, cut 6720 is not well defined and in the southwest it turns at a 45 degree angle.
With the excavation of context 6722, cut 6720 became clearer although the northwest bit is still somewhat obscure. However, with the excavation of of 6734 the cut became clearly defined and is mostly rectangular except for a jog to the southwest in the southwest part of the trench.
The southern side of cut 6720 is at a higher elevation than the northern side. The fact that the northern cut was not clearly defined until the removal of 6734 indicates it was likely disturbed at a higher elevation.
