| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy clay. | |
| Notes: | 6780 is a deposit of more compact soil with slightly fewer inclusions than 6774. It is also slightly darker. Upon excavation, however, it appears that the inclusions are pretty much the same as 6774--cobbles, tiles and bone. The bone especially looks the same--large animal bones like horse and in the same friable condition. Thus, 6780 should probably be considered as a continuation of 6774. We closed this context when all the tile and large bone was removed, and we came down on a small ashy deposit. | |
