| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark pinkish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey sand. | |
| Notes: | 6822 is a small context on the north of context 6813 and below it. We are excavating this before resuming with 6813 because 6813 is a larger, oddly shaped context and excavating it could compromise the integrity of 6822. Also, 6822 may be just a part of context 6288. Further excavation of 6822 reveals that its cut, 6824, is much larger than we first observed. 6822. overlies dark pinkish very compact bedrock. It also overlies at least one large stone which seems to be associated with the architectural blocks of the sewer structure. We closed this context when we came down on more compact soil and what may be the cut for the sewer channel. | |
