The soil color is light greyish red. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | | Notes: | | 6886 Is a fill of, or under, an outdoor surface. We are trying to understand the relationship between this context and areas so the south and east. As PK digs, there appears to be a small ashy lens in the southwest corner of the context. PK thinks that this is the subfloor of a surface that Jess Paga (JP) excavated. PK has noted that in the area of this lens, the soil is much softer. We will excavate this lens as context 6899 next. PK has also noted that the soil under 6899 contains significantly less large inclusions than 6886, although the soil color is the similar.
