Description:   The context shape in plan is linear. The top break of the cut is gradual. The sides of the cut are mixed. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is tapered blunt point.
Notes:   6973 appeared as a N-S cut line in the N part of the room NW of the couryard of the Byzantine house. Its fill, 6965, was excavated, revealing mixed sides: parts were vertical and others convex. The cut must have been made with little precision. Because of its orientation and proximity to wall 6321, our current interpretation is that it is a foundation trench for that wall.
Because of truncation by the cut of the tile-built pithos (6881), this cut is linear by irregular in shape.
