The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt. | | Notes: | | 6979 is a compact reddish brown area with moderate ceramic and stone inclusions directly N of 6977. We are excavating to determine the chronological relationships between 6979, 6977, and 6962 (to the NE of 6962), which are currently extremely unclear. Further, we had to stop excavating 6977, which is directly to the S because the confined space prevented us from reaching bottom. By removing 6979 it may be possible to define the lower limits of 6977. We have come down to revela a curved cut within which are several large boulders.
