Stratum:   5% fine angular and rounded spherical pebbles.
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This context is in the central area of the ‘pithos’ room of Room F E-half. It abuts wall 5334 to the S and the pithos to the N. There are 3 rectangular trenches running alongside it on the 3 sides no touching a wall. Based on the scarp of all 3 trenches it appears that this context is currently sitting on a series of clay floors. This compacted earth layer, then was likely a construction floor for a cement floor that was added later (7042). Coin 2010-126 is a Byzantine coin. It was found at the interface between wall phases 5335 and 7249 (the S. wall running E-W). Most likely it is contamination dropped during construxtion of 5335.
