Description:   Top slope of the context is level. Bottom slope of the context is level down to the The soil color is very dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Our current overarching objective in this area is the eventual removal of the clay floor uncovered by the removal of the tile scatter (B51). To do this, we must first remove a pit dug into the clay floor at this floor's eastern extant edge. Billy and Thanasis dug this small pit on 04 May. The pit contained many tile fragments, a few of which I threw into the basket for washing, in order to compare them to the tiles saved from B51. B74 was definitely cut into the floor and had no clay on top. Its contents (mainly the tile fragments) suggest the possibility of more destruction debris.
The nature of the fill suggests that this is a rubbish pit, associated with room whose clay floor ((B102=105=106=108)) survives.
