Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   this was the first context removed 17/5. we had taken preliminary data the previous day. It was laid over the surface that covered most of the area of the trench.
Removal of this context revealed another surface that ran below the surface east of it (context 536). We are still unsure of the extent of this surface. Removal of 536 should reveal that.
This, along with 535, may be leveling fill for 533.
