Stratum:   bone, sherds (some rather large), small pieces of bedrock, several rocks that seem broken by tools, lime, mudbrick (one with a flat base), rounded to angular spherical to tabular fine to coarse pebbles, cobbles (mostly coarse pebbles and cobbles)
Description:   Top slope of the context is moderate down to the E. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   this context was removed after 546 because it lay under 546, and filled a bothros cut into the ninth lens in the series of surfaces, which appeared to occupy the rest of the trench. The bothros fill contained many sherds and stones.
We decided to take a second sample from this context when we found that it extended deeper than expected and contained far fewer rocks further down.
