Stratum:   fine to medium subrounded to angular spherical to tabular pebbles, bits of vrachos, pottery (a few sherds)
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   this context was quite similar to 552, except it was easier to mold and darker. the difference is likely due to a difference in moisture-- 552 had been exposed, while 554 had not.
