Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   after removing 555, we realized that the surface beneath it, though one surface, was composed of 2 fills: this one, in the north, is composed only of soil; the other, in the south, has small rocks in it. This is probably the result of soil being taken from 2 different places to level the area and create the surface.
We realized that this lens ran under the rocky lens, so we stopped and shifted to the rocky lens. Thus, while part of this fill was level with the rocky portion (559) and formed part of that lens of the surface, the rest of it passes under 559, probably forming the leveling fill for 559, ot perhaps another lens of the road.
