Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   11.18: Excavation of the deposit started with handpick from the E to the W excavating frontally and alongside the line towards the edge of the cut.
11.57: Second pass using the same orientation and tools.
13.35: Work ended for the day. The deposit continues uninterrupted.
7th of June, 2016
7.35: Work resumed in the deposit. The third pass will take place E-W from the front of the cut of the robbing trench. Due to the conditions of the excavation handpick will remain in use.
8.27: Work was suddenly interrupted by the arrival of the fieldschool on archaeometry which unexpectedly decided to sample in my excavation area and not on the bulk of 1R left for them. This has forced me to close 582 artificially and in the middle of a pass. Their work will be given ar request of Herbst a context number (585) which I honestly do not know how I am going to deal with it in the matrix. 71 liters total, 14 buckets plus 7 liters from another were removed before the deposit was closed artificially.
