Stratum:   Tile 80%, coarse pebbles 5%, cobbles 5%
Description:   Top slope of the context is even. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   Lens of tile distinct from cobbles to south and north.
This context is being excavated separately from the cobble fill in the rest of the SW quadrant because of the distinct appearance of the flat tile running E-W. At sight it appears as if it is halving the quadrant, but we can only explore this through excavation. Beneath the even flat tile lies compact soil of the same inclusions found between the tiles. An increase in cobbles appears in the compact soil. All of this is removed with this context. A looser soil is revealed beneath the compact tile layer.
