Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Context Type:   Deposit
Title:   patch sw of structure 11
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   123
Date:   2014/04/17
Stratum:   10% inclusions of pottery and coarse pebbles.
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   The current deposit is the small baulk left after the excavation of structure 11. The baulk runs almost immediately into the scarp left by "baulk basket" B 38 of NB 869 in 1994. The soil is grayish brown and softer than that surrouding it. It doesn't appear to be uniform with the surrounding soil and so we remove it on its own. Since most of it was removed in the 1994 season, there's very little to say about it, and the earlier notes are of very little help. We come down upon the dark brown compact soil characterizing the adjacent soil after 0.10m of excavation. We stop and change contexts.
