Context:   192

Stratum:   a few sherds
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light brownish grey. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   Robbing trench context 192 was in the process of being swept when we arrived on site for the first time, thus a top elevation could not be taken. A few sherds were collected and sent to be washed, but any soil removed was minimal. One objective of excavating in Room 7 this season was to find out if there is a foundation trench along either its W or E walls (59 and 157, respectively). The robbing trench is part of Wall 59--and we hope to find evidence of its foundation trench. In order to better understand the robbing trench (exposed in the 1990s), and to avoid contamination, we thoroughly swept the trench before beginning excavation of Room 7.
